Drawing the full potential out of a tube amp
"I want to bring out the best in the tube amp I use at shows."
"I want a quality booster that stays clean even stacked with other drives."
The answer for guitarists with that kind of attention to detail is
Vin-Antique PPSE Classic.
A sibling to the acclaimed PPSE'79, yet with an entirely different character.
Here's why you might choose the "Classic" instead.
A drive built by deliberately holding back
First, the decisive difference from PPSE'79.
Where PPSE'79 is an energetic drive that pushes out harmonics hard, Classic is a clean, refined, well-mannered drive.
By deliberately using traditional symmetrical clipping at the heart of the circuit, it keeps PPSE'79's fast response and separation while achieving a more polished sound.
Built on a TS-style base, its highs never feel clogged — a finish that truly deserves the name "classic transparent."
A tool for waking up a tube amp
PPSE Classic shines brightest in front of a tube amp.
It's fair to call it "an effects pedal for tube amps" — it lifts an amp's natural character up a level without ever breaking it.
- As your main drive:
Dials in a perfect crunch-to-overdrive without over-saturating, responding faithfully to your picking dynamics. - Stacked with other pedals:
Even combined with another drive, its midrange shine and separation keep the sound from clumping, lifting it into something that cuts through. - As a solo booster:
Turn Vol clockwise for a booster that adds a pleasant stickiness to the high-mids, cutting sharply through the ensemble.

Product Info
Vin-Antique's other masterpiece, "PPSE Classic."
It inherits the overwhelming response and separation of the legendary PPSE '79, while pushing its affinity with tube amps to its limit.
By deliberately trimming overtones for a clean, transparent character, it brings out the amp's own character more vividly.
Control
Tone: Adjusts the high end (treble to presence). Like PPSE '79, it focuses on a higher range than the original TS, so we recommend starting fully counter-clockwise and adding sheen gradually from there.
Gain: Adjusts the amount of drive. As gain rises, the low end thickens by design; at high-gain settings, turning Tone to the right balances things out for a solid, ideal drive sound.
Vol.: Adjusts the overall volume. Beyond balancing against bypass level, turning it fully clockwise also works remarkably well as a high-mid booster that gives solos real presence.
